BALLET. CONTEMPORARY DANCE. PILATES

There are so many benefits to be gained from joining a dance class as an adult - dance really is for all ages not just children! As well as the obvious physical benefits; improved fitness, co-ordination, balance there are also many mental health benefits.

Adult Ballet(16+)

Keep yourself fit, stimulated and inspired with the graceful discipline of Ballet. Learn and practice technical skills that will help improve strength, balance, co-ordination, flexibility and musicality.
​There are levels on offer for levels of experience.
Intro - suitable for complete beginners who have never danced but always wanted to give it a go.
​Level 1- suitable for beginners/newcomers/returning after long break/gentle pace.
Level 2 - suitable for those with some experience/have danced within last two years/moderate pace.
​Level 3 - suitable for those with strong experience and knowledge/dance regularly/quick pace/want to work at a more advanced pace.

​Adult Contemporary Dance Creative (16+)

A  committed creative dance class that allows you to explore movement through a combination of themes, movement games and tasks. Interesting and supportive, you will learn how to develop movement on your own and with others, and work towards devising choreography. Great for dancers, actors or anyone wanting to find out more about their movement potential.
​Open Level - suitable for all levels of experience, no prior experience necessary, just a willingness to commit and try something new!

​Adult Contemporary Dance Technique (16+)

Fun, energetic and physical sessions to broaden technical skill and improve movement quality. You will learn through a series of dance exercises and sequences to develop a confident movement style and develop expressive qualities. A great class for improving strength, co-ordination and movement dynamics.
​Level 1/2 - suitable for those with some movement or dance experience wanting to improve skills.

Pilates Mat Work (16+)

Combining elements of Pilates, Ballet Floor Barre and Yoga these highly effective and focused classes will  help to strengthen, stretch and tone.
Address alignment and target specific areas with concentrated exercises. Particularly beneficial in improving posture, core strength (stomach, back and pelvic floor), mobility and flexibility. A great choice for maintaining a healthy functioning body and wellbeing.
